Ham Radio

I was first licensed as a Technician class back in 1977 with a station call sign1 of WB7WHD. It was a mouthful.

I let the license lapse when I was in graduate school because I had other things to do, though I never lost my interest in radio.

In 2003 or so I got my general license as KD7VEM.

I upgraded to Amateur Extra soon after and was assigned AD7GO (which I liked, but you can see how it would be misheard).

I got a vanity call sign KF7K, and I'll keep it until I die.

1no person can have a call sign, only a station can
